People constantly look to the other side thinking the grass must be greener only to change their minds when they get there. What about a place where the green isn’t green, its white, for a good portion of the year? Sure Canadians speak funny and have a strange political system but still… is Canadian life better? Canadians don’t take offense, I live in SoCal but was born in Ottawa. Love ya!

After doing some research, I have to say – YES IT IS! Heres why…

1. Every once in a while nature decides that Canadians should wake up in the morning and call their employers to let them know they won’t be in today because their homes are buried with snow. You’ve seen the funny pictures, houses buried to the roofline in snow, but Canadians aren’t complaining!

2. Canadians sound funny, eh, but advertising remains brutaly honest

3. And lastly – just because Canadians know how to have fun in the cold!

That image by canadian veggie depicts a yearly tradition of jumping in a frozen lake and staying as long as you can handle it, which is usually just a few seconds. People who have done this say it feels invigorating and is great for your health, as long as you’re not overcome by the instant shock.

Canadian life may not be ‘better’ than life anywhere else, unless you ask a Canadian of course, but it sure is fun! Brrrrrrrrrrrr.
