Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help me plan a getaway to Madrid, Spain. No I’m not being chased and I’m not wanted for questioning, I just want to get away! I’ve been looking at pictures around the world and it would cost me many-a-fortune to see them all and so I must choose. Help!

I’ve checked out Scotland as a vacation possibility and even found new places like Ferropolis but I still want more. I’ve looked up Madrid hotels and found some nice places to spend the night but again… which one is best and closest to the prime attractions of Madrid Spain? Here’s some pictures I found, have you been to any of these places?

1. The Manzanares el Real Castle

Manzanares el Real Castle in Madrid, Spain
Is the Manzanares el Real Castle as amazing as it seems to be? I’m sure it is but I haven’t been there and I have no clue what else is in the area to visit. Could I fill a day when visiting the castle?

2. Where will i get the best view from my hotel room?
Madrid Hotels, Spain
The Madrid sunsets can be spectacular, which hotel provides the best view?

3. The Temple of Dedod

The Temple of Dedod, go or no go? It looks wonderful.

4. The Madrid Royal Palace

Madrid Royal Palace, or Palacio Real in spanish, looks like a no-brainer.

5. The Plaza de Cibeles
Plaza de Cibeles, Madrid, Spain
I KNOW there is a story behind this amazing monument but I don’t know what it is (yet) do you?

6. Plaza de la Armeria

The Plaza de la Armeria, what is the nightlife like and where is it the most active? Side note: it doesn’t rain much in Spain so I appreciate this picture even more.

7. La Almudena Cathedral

La Almudena Cathedral is another no-brainer must see location, right?

8. The Best Airport In Madrid
Madrid Airport, Spain
A simple question but, which is the best airport to fly into when visiting Madrid Spain? Which is closest to the most attractions or best hotels? Which is close to places I want to see??

9. A Castle with no name in Madrid

Madrid, Spain
The Castle has a name, and a long history, but what is it?

10. Plaza de Oriente
Plaza de Oriente, Madrid, Spain
The Plaza de Oriente is another extremely beautiful location, it looks suitable for a postcard doesn’t it?

Here’s the deal, if you’ve visited Popular Wealth in the past you’re used to me sharing pictures of places I’ve been or want to go and you’re used to me having researched (in detail) every location. I’m going to do just that again for Madrid Spain and I might add pictures and descriptions to this page later but I want to open this page up for input from people who have been there before me.

I want to hear from people who have been to Madrid, people who live there, people who grew up there or work there or spent time visiting. I want you to mold this article by sharing details about the best locations and the top must see places. If you set the comments on fire with shared information you leave me more time to add more articles on more spectacular places and I can get back to each one with your guidance.

Tell me, what makes Madrid Spain a once in a lifetime travel destination?
